ThermaCare® works through oxidation. After opening the airtight packaging, the ingredients react with the oxygen from the air and thus heat up by themselves. We recommend comfortable clothing when using ThermaCare® HeatWraps for menstrual pain during your period.

HOW DO I USE THERMACARE® HEATWRAPS FOR MENSTRUAL PAIN?

Step 1

Open the airtight packaging directly before use and remove the ThermaCare® HeatWrap. Upon contact with oxygen, the heating of the heat cells begins.
Step 2

Remove the protective film from the adhesive surface.
Step 3

Stick the heat wrap into your briefs from the inside so that the fleece cover hugs the skin below the belly button.

Tip: In order not to cause an unpleasant feeling of warmth, we recommend that you never wear the heat wrap directly under a very tight waistband or belt.
Step 4

The ThermaCare® HeatWraps for menstrual pain is comfortable and discreet to wear and cannot be seen from outside.

After about 30 minutes of heating, the therapeutic temperature of approx. 40 °C is reached and kept constant for the rest of the indicated treatment time. The ThermaCare® HeatWrap for menstrual pain now provides constant, soothing deep heat for at least 8 hours.

WHEN DO I USE THERMACARE® HEATWRAPS FOR MENSTRUAL PAIN?

Early on! To avoid menstrual cramps restricting your active daily life too much, the early signs of menstrual pains in the lower abdomen should be treated quickly with therapeutic heat.

The heat wraps should not be used on diseased, injured or damaged skin, on bruises and swellings or on parts of the body without any sensation of warmth.

Due to the technology used, each heat wrap can only be used once for 8 hours. Afterwards, the product cannot be reactivated and should be disposed of properly in household waste. Please do not heat ThermaCare® products in the microwave or in the oven under any circumstances, as the heat wrap for back pain could catch fire!

HOW DOES THERMACARE® HEAT THERAPY WORK?

The cells of the ThermaCare® HeatWraps and overlays contain a mixture of natural ingredients: Iron powder, salt, activated carbon and water. After opening the packaging, the iron powder combines with the oxygen from the air and this produces the therapeutic ThermaCare® deep heat.

After a heating phase of approx. 30 minutes, the ThermaCare® products reach the ideal therapeutic temperature of approx. 40 °C. The special fleece cover of the ThermaCare® products regulates the continuous heat supply and conducts the heat directly to the painful part of the body. The therapeutic heat can thus penetrate deep into the cramped muscle and tissue layers for the necessary treatment time and effectively relieve the pain where it originated.
