HOW DOES THERMACARE® WORK?

ThermaCare®’s patented heat cells contain iron powder, salt, activated carbon and water. When the protective film is removed, the ingredients combine with oxygen from the air. The oxidation of the iron powder generates heat at a constant temperature of 40 °C which, works to relieve your pain for 8 hours while wearing it.

Can heat wraps ThermaCare® be used during pregnancy?

Please consult your healthcare provider before use in order to rule out possible individual risks.

Can I use ThermaCare® HeatWraps more than once?

Due to the technology used, each ThermaCare® HeatWrap can only be used once. ThermaCare® works through oxidation: After opening the airtight packaging, the iron powder reacts with the oxygen in the air in the presence of the other ingredients and thus the heat cells heat up by themselves. Once oxidation is complete after 8 hours (depending on the product), the product cannot be reactivated and should be disposed of properly in household waste.

Please do not heat ThermaCare® products in the microwave or in the oven under any circumstances, as the heat wrap for back pain could catch fire!

How long can I leave the ThermaCare® HeatWraps on the skin?

You can leave the ThermaCare® HeatWrap on your skin for up to 8 hours, the exact time depends on the product and can be found on the packaging.

When should ThermaCare® HeatWraps be used?

You should use ThermaCare® HeatWraps if you have non-specific pain in the back, shoulder and neck area. Do not use the heat wraps for acute pain caused by injuries, inflammation and swelling.

Are ThermaCare® HeatWraps suitable for children?

ThermaCare® HeatWraps are not suitable for children, as children often do not notice a deterioration in their condition (if it occurs) and cannot remove the heat wraps on their own.
